The head is disassembled, cleaned, clamped and glued back together. I do my best to fit these together tightly, but wood does strange things when it gets wet and then dries.ĬONSTRUCTION: Since these are Authentic Reclaimed Wood Barrel Heads made from white oak. Due to these heads being soaked in bourbon for 4 years, they may be bowed and/or there may be some gaps where the pieces won't fit back together perfectly. Not all barrel heads will look the same, be the same patina or have the similar distillery stamps and some may not have any distillery stamp at all.

They may have cracks, splits, smudges, and stains and due to years of being soaked in bourbon, they may not be perfectly flat. Old and reclaimed barrel tops will have imperfections. IMPORTANT NOTE: I use real bourbon barrel heads to make our tables. I won’t know until I’m building them how it will turn out so I’m unable to guarantee one type or another.Įach holder/rack is unique, upcycled and handmade!Ĭue sticks, rack and balls (and bourbon) not included. The holder one on the left is using slightly straighter staves for legs than the one on the right, so I had to notch the bottom shelf. The last picture in the listing shows this. Please note that because all barrel staves have unique curves to them, the bottom shelf may be notched to fit against the legs if the staves are more straight. After everything is put together, the holder is lightly sanded to remove the rough edges but still leave the rustic charm and sealed with three coats of polyurethane to protect it for years!
